Stand Still

My vision for this particular shooting was to photograph a mass of people getting off the train in Worcester.  While I was waiting for the train to arrive I started photographing the people waiting to get on the train.  I found it interesting as soon as they could see the train coming they all stood completely still, just following the train with their eyes.  I enjoy the balance of the mostly motionless silhouetted people against the motion of the train.

Train Catching

This was my second attempt to take the perfect train picture that day. On my first attempt I missed the train, on my second I had looked up the wrong times, so the train was actually already there waiting, when I really was hoping for people to be getting off.  Fortunately, right before the train and I left, I saw one man running to catch it.  It was perfect.  While I did go back to the station another time that day, I still had something I was happy with.
